CBD #1 by ACE Seeds is the breeder’s first cultivar to produce a fully stable high-CBD/low-THC chemotype. Developed over three years using Cannatonic S1 and Afghan ErdPurt genetics, it features 15–18% CBD, 0.55–0.7% THC, and a CBD:THC ratio exceeding 20:1, with CBG levels up to 0.4%. The plant forms robust, columnar structures with broad Afghani leaves and thick stems during growth, later expressing more sativa-like traits in flowering. Buds are dense, sticky, and medium-sized with exceptional resin coverage, making this cultivar ideal for producing hashish and other high-CBD extractions. Its terpene profile is rich and consistent, dominated by β-myrcene, α- and β-pinene, and limonene, with smaller amounts of linalool; sesquiterpenes include β-caryophyllene, α-bisabolol, humulene, and guaiol. The bouquet is intensely aromatic and complex, blending sweet ripe tangerine and tropical fruit from Cannatonic with sweet, floral, gummy, earthy, piney, and musky ErdPurt nuances, followed by a long-lasting hashish aftertaste. The high is mild with minimal psychoactivity, delivering clear-headed, mood-enhancing, and calming effects that relieve stress, anxiety, paranoia, and physical pain, making it ideal for users sensitive to THC. It is easy to grow indoors under 18/6 (veg) and 12/12 (flower) schedules and performs well in SOG or SCROG setups; outdoors, it thrives in warm to cold climates up to 45° latitude. Flowering takes 7–8 weeks indoors, finishing outdoors by late September. Resistance ratings are uniformly average-high against spider mites, mildew, botrytis, white fly, cold, and heat. The strain prefers moderate to high nutrient levels and can be pruned to encourage branching. CBD #1 is also an excellent breeding tool for creating short-flowering CBD-rich hybrids with premium terpene and resin quality.
