Orange Bud by Dutch Passion is a Skunk selection from the early 80s, bred to be an original, stable, potent, easy-to-grow Skunk with fast flowering and strong stems; it delivers sweet, very fruity citrus aromas and tastes reminiscent of ripe oranges and nectarines, produces dense, hard buds covered in crystals with fiery orange hairs, and shows uniform vigor with a forgiving nutrient tolerance. Plants stretch to roughly double their height in bloom and suit all mediums and techniques, thriving particularly in Sea of Green (SOG) and also performing well in Screen of Green (SCROG), supercropping, bending, and general manipulation; recommended veg is ~4–6 weeks (about 6 weeks with few plants per m²; ~4 weeks with more plants), with options to run 12/12 from seed or after one week for SOG, and ~8 weeks veg for a single-plant SCROG. Indoor flowering is about 7–9 weeks, with indoor yields around 400–450+ g/m² and even higher when SOG is optimized; outdoors she’s relatively fast and suitable for early autumn harvests, performing well in mild/temperate, sunny spots with light prevailing wind, often showing frostier buds outdoors from lower temperatures. Structure varies from long, fully stacked colas (Sativa expression) to denser, golf-ball buds; the high is active, social, uplifting and feel-good, with THC typically ~15–20%. A small percentage of plants may develop male flowers under severe stress, so careful inspection during flowering is advised. Historically, Orange Bud is an award-winning Dutch coffeeshop staple and a classic Skunk that became a cornerstone cultivar prized for aroma, taste, reliability and yield, it remains a best-seller.
