Afghan Lemon by Khalifa Genetics is a stabilized phenotype selection from the Balkh Hashplant, one of Afghanistan’s most revered hash-making landraces. Discovered in 2019 during a preservation run, this lemon-scented variant was selected for its superior frostiness and unique flavor profile. After three years of stabilization in collaboration with Bestgrower_420, the result is a consistent, true-breeding Afghanica that produces robust, resinous plants with savory lemon-hash aromas. The scent is fresh and natural, distinct from the artificial candy-like lemon tones found in many California hybrids. Afghan Lemon plants are short, bushy, and extremely sturdy, featuring thick stems that never need support and can withstand strong winds. The dense, heavy buds require good airflow to prevent mold. The variety thrives with minimal care and offers a smooth smoke delivering a potent, long-lasting, but pleasantly relaxing body stone. Its aromatic resin leaves a persistent lemon-hash fragrance on the fingers. Originating from the Balkh province, home to iconic hashish varieties like “Milk of Mazar” and “Old Golden One”, Afghan Lemon stands as one of the finest expressions of the historic Afghan hash plant lineage, representing centuries of regional cultivation excellence.
